master_runner Posted March 5, 2007 Share Posted March 5, 2007 I'm currently testing osCommerce on my desktop (or rather, laptop). it's running Windows XP with Apache 2.2.x / PHP 5.x, and MySQL Community Server. So, I have the servers operating normally, and a number of other PHP applications function normally. Anyway, when I first ran the install script, it bothered me about register_globals. so, I enabled register_globals in php.ini and rebooted. Once I rebooted, the script started normally. I pressed install, and then checked both boxes, as documentation suggests. When I press Continue... the page is the same. no matter how much I press continue, or refresh, or reboot, every time I press Continue I just get the same page. I saw a post earlier where someone said that osCommerce didn't work on desktops, but provided no details as to why the system wouldn't function when connecting via the loopback interface (127.0.0.1).
