use a product image from a category as the category image

is there an extension that will use a product image from inside a category and show that image for the category?

 

it saves time, instead of me adding an image for each category and then adding the very same image again as a product.

There may be but I am not aware of it.

 

Have you considered exporting your catalog into a .csv (using the Easy Populate module) and copy/paste a single image file name into the appropriate cell in a spreadsheet? Then import it back into oscommerce.

BTW, when I first set up my store and before the catalog became very complex I needed to do essentially what you want to do.

 

I used Easy Populate BASIC for the import/export of the database.

 

I wish I could still edit my products off-line but my catalog has become too complicated for EPBasic. I wish I could get EPAdvanced to work.
