Recommended Posts

I have purchased a site that acording to the seller is a piece of cake to work..........yeh right

anyway plugging away at the admin page etc I am trying a back up and restore...........the back up seems to work but for a test I make a small change save and then do a restore...........it does not make the change back is there a time delay or am I getting it wrong.

Funny thing again is the people that build and design the sites for you keep in touch all the way and help in all questions...............until you buy the site...........try and get help then

Thanks any one

I'm assuming this is an oscommerce store, since you're posting in an oscommerce forum... There is no time delay you should be seeing when doing a restore... Once the restore process is complete, you should be staring right at the restored version... Are you talking about making a database change or a code change? If you're talking about a database change, then yes, something is wrong... If you're talking about alterring an actual php file and then saving and trying the restore, this won't restore your file contents, only any database changes that were made since the backup you're trying to restore... Try to make your postings here as descriptive as possible about your problem, and we'll try to answer them to the best of our abilities...
