triplemaya Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Sorry to trouble you all, because this really really must be simple, but I cannot see how to change the default currency??!?! I go to Localisation > Currencies, and change Dollar to Pound, and USD to GBP, and $ to £. All prices dissapear and everything is priced 0. So that doesn't work. I thought I might make the Euro the default, and then change that to Pounds, but there is no variable to change to make a different currency the default currency. ?!? I have also tried altering the 'Switch To Defualt Language Currency' in MyStore to true, but this makes no difference. Obviously I am missing something very obvious, please would someone enlighten me. ( I have searched the forum both with the forum search and google, and I still can't find any information on this, which really puzzles me! ) Many thanks.

triplemaya Posted March 5, 2007 Author Posted March 5, 2007 Thanks for your interest, but that doesn't work, in fact, now I have a permanent problem!?! When I changed USD to GBP in english.php, nothing changed. Then I changed the 'Switch To Defualt Language Currency' in MyStore to true. This time it made a difference, all the amounts went to 0. So, then I changed the 'Switch To Defualt Language Currency' in MyStore to false, but this makes no difference. All the amounts are still 0. So, then I changed GBP back to USD in english.php, but nothing changed!? so, now all my amounts are 0. Heeeeeeeeelp!!!!
triplemaya Posted March 5, 2007 Author Posted March 5, 2007 Solved it with a bit of playing around. You have to change the currency in the currency box! It doesn't update automatically. No reason why it should really. Sooo simple! No wonder I couldn't find any posts about it, it was too simple. Oh well, now there is a post. Here it is. Hope it helps someone one day.
triplemaya Posted March 5, 2007 Author Posted March 5, 2007 NOT SOLVED! When I come to the website, all the values for prices are now zero. Only when I click on the currency window and select a currency do I see prices. Please would someone help me sort this out. Many thanks.
