bw92116
I just set up the basic OSC installation, and tried a few test orders using myself as a "customer" and for the most part everything worked fine. Tonight the first actual customer order came through, from a customer who I have known in the past, but he was able to place an order and check out without actually registering or loggin in to my OSC store. His payment does show up in my gateway account at Authorize.net, and Authorize.net sent me an e-mail notice. However, there is no record of the transaction anywhere in the Admin section. He is not listed under "Customers," his order is not listed under "Orders" or "Customer Orders - total" and the products he purchased are not listed under "Products purchased." How was he able to complete a successful transaction and leave, without leaving any trace in my OSC data? What setting do I have to change in order to force OSC to record the transaction? What setting do I have change in order to force the customer to register and login before completing a transaction? Thank you for your help. bw92116
Have you checked to see if the information is in the database? No, I haven't and I don't know how. I did look in the Admin section under "Customers" and now, six hours after he placed the order, his name and address appear in the list of customers. But his order is not shown under "Orders" - there is no trace of his order. Maybe he did register, but why did it take OSC 6 hours for him to show up as a customer? The e-mail notification sent to me by Authorize.net is the only record I have of his order, and the list of items he ordered is in the "Description" field, but the list is cut off, it is not complete. What happened to his complete order?
dittones
Bob Weaver, When you pay by credit card...the process to complete the order is that the api that you are interfaced to process the credit card transaction must send back a success post to checkout_process.php which is the program in oscommerce that completes the order... So whomever you are doing the processing with lookinto their documentation for this process. Also if a transaction goes throught ok...you should recieve a page indicating the success of the order. I hope this helps Roman dittone.com

What happened to his complete order? Check the database directly for his order information. You should be able to access your database via some tool such as phpMyAdmin. Do, or do not.
