canuck Posted March 5, 2007 Share Posted March 5, 2007 I tried configuring my email options in OS COmmerce to Sendmail and SMTP. Neither will work when a client with a ???@videotron.ca email record. I have OSC installed on PowerVPS Linux server and did try the email_test.php contribution and it worked fine for any email but ???@videotron.ca clients. The support at PowerVPS replied with this: "From what I can see remote mailserver is not allowing connections: # telnet 24.201.245.37 25 Trying 24.201.245.37... Connected to 24.201.245.37. Escape character is '^]'. 452 try later Connection closed by foreign host. Thus the e-mail is failing." Has anyone else experienced similar problems ? djmonkey1 Posted March 5, 2007 Share Posted March 5, 2007 That is pretty weird- are they saying videotron.ca is refusing the emails? It seems like you'd have to contact whoever runs videotron.ca.
