Please help! I edited my english.php file in OSC admin instead of my FTP client. It deleted the backslashes in ADMIN. But when I go to the same file in FTP it is unchanged and correct. My FTP support staff said that the path to the OSC admin is not coming from the HTTPDOCS file>>>it is coming from the HTTPSDOCS file. Has anyone encountered this?

Lisa, may I suggest that it is best not to edit your PHP files using the osC file manager but rather:

  1. FTP the PHP files you want to edit from your remote server (osCommerce live store) to your PC.
  2. Open the PHP files with a PHP editor such as PHP Designer 2007 or any plain text editor such as NotePad.
  3. Make any modifications that you need and save the file under the same name.
  4. FTP the modified PHP files over the existing PHP files of the same name on your remote server (osCommerce live store).
  5. Test your store in a browser to be sure everything works the way you expected.

Have fun!

Hi Lisa, :D

Someone here passed this site along to me, it has been a HUGE help in times, just like you mentioned.

You can go to the particular file, cut and paste it back into your files with your FTP uploader and whala! that is providing you have not done a lot of modifications :(
