tibbettsdesign Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Hello, I have taken on the task of updating a heavy traffic website that is behind the times and where the people reviewing these orders are not computer geeks. This script looks perfect except does it allow me to make promotional pricing for categories. The company sells soups, dips, and other dried food products. Each product can be purchased for example, soups 6.95 each or buy 5 @ 6.95 get one free; as well as dips have a 4 for $11 offer. Is their a way I can set the cart up to apply these discounts? This is a very important part of the site because thats how they drive add on sales, and since adding this has pricing base has turned their online sales into a rather big sales booster for their online sales. If anyone knows if this is possible and how difficult it is to set up a pricing set up like this please let me know. Thanks Kory G. Tibbetts Tibbetts Design General Manager, New England Division
cannuck1964 Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 There are contributions which deal with quantity priced discounts. There are cotributions for buy 2 get one free, all of the above can be put together and managed without too much work using a few contributions, have a search though them, my suggestion is to seach for each pricing model you want to use and read up in the forums what people found difficult or issues then look at implementing the solution ;) cheers, Peter M Peter McGrath ----------------------------- See my Profile (click here) for more information and to contact me for professional osCommerce support that includes SEO development, custom development and security implementation
