usernamenone
Make sure your files and folders are read and writeable with the exception of both configrue.php files. To do this you should ftp to your site and the right click and choose permissions or properties and make the changes and then save

samclarke
Make sure you've actually placed /admin/ within your <root> directory. I know it sounds stupid. But that appears to be a big problem with alot of CMS'.

usernamenone
You don't have a SSL. You need to change that in both your configure.php files. define('HTTPS_SERVER', ''); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers Match this to your catalog for HTTP_SERVER
