I was changing my config.php's to reflect my SSL being 'true' but i realized i messed up and put the admin in the catalog and vice versa - i didn't back up because i was just changing 1 word. It broke everything but i reuploaded what i thought was the correct files in the correct locations (since they were both named config) i must have gotten confused.

SO now in the catalog, try clicking a category and look where it tries to take you. what do i need to do to get that ironed out? It was in perfect working condition and i was ready to make a test purchase so this frustrates me lol

my admin panel seems to be working OK

Well it looks like you've still got them backwards, because I see a dir_ws_http_catalog being referenced in your catalog links, and I think that's an admin configure.php value... Try swapping them again... If all else fails, you can always just grab new versions of both of those files from a stock oscommerce build, configure them for your store, and reupload them...
