Is it easy to switch from the drop down menu to check boxes?

Hello, I am in the process of building my first oscommerce webstore. It is for a non-profit group who are just trying to service it's members. I am new to php, but have edited some other open source projects to make them work for me. No where near an expert, but I have a basic understanding of php.

 

My question goes to selecting items and entering check out. I have been testing it, and I am using the default set-up. If I have a shirt, with an option of adding one of 3 logos to it, when I get to the screen to select the options, I get a drop down menu of those logos. After selecting one, the menu collapses, but there is nothing noting the option was selected, until you go further into checkout. Is it possible to change the drop down to check boxes, without major coding? The members are going to be very confused by the way this is setup.

 

I have looked through some of the add-ons but have not had any luck finding something, but I am not sure if I am searching with the correct terms. Any direction here would be appreciated!

 

Maybe there is an add-on that will display the options picked immediately after selecting them (on same screen) and not make you go to another screen to see if it is what you wanted.
