captaintim Posted March 1, 2007 Share Posted March 1, 2007 Hi, I've just become the forum administrator for a new forum connected to a classical CD shop. The main site is oscommerce and the forum is phpbb which has been integrated into it. The site has been built by a website design company and they've recently added the forum too. There seem to be quite a few critical errors etc around the forum inparticular. Feel free to say anything you wish, I wonder if anyone has any advice on how to improve things. Some errors are quite random but one fixed error occurs whenever you try to make a new topic/reply without being logged in. New users signing up to the main shop are automatically given an account for the forum. At present usernames are firstinitial and surname. I'd like to find some way to add a forum user name to the sign-up process for user safety purposes.
