I've been asked by a friend if I can source them a cheap and fairly simple e-Commerce website for their business, and I've found osCommerce and it looks like a very good tool for the job... hopefully some of you guys can answer a few questions for me. Best payment provider Which is the 'best' to use (I'm in the UK) ? I have nothing against using PayPal - but is this in the fully integrated mode or does it take you through to the PP website to take payments. I have noticed comments about ProtX and SecPay on the site both of which I have experience with as a .NET developer. If I went with one of these providers, will there be 3D Secure modules available at some point? Custom skin/template I have been looking at the custom skins on TemplateMonster - are there any pitfalls I need to be aware of with using these. Also, is it difficult to edit the templates myself? I'm far from a PHP expert! CMS Is there a generic CMS for editing other site content with osCommerce... for creating About Us pages etc etc. Many thanks in advance for any comments you can contribute, I would really appreciate the feedback.
