pathos2005
Hi everyone, I am starting up a small business and I currently only only have one product type to sell. Its a unique product that isn't sold anywhere else and has potential for a high volumes of sales. It seems like oscommerce is constrcted for companies selling a number of different products. Can I configure a website using oscommerce that is ideal for selling only one product or would I be better off just constructing my own site? usernamenone
osCommerce can sell 1 to thousands of products. Is it only having 1 product for sale or is it the customization you will have to do for that 1 product?

Is it only having 1 product for sale or is it the customization you will have to do for that 1 product? Well I have only one product for sale though it comes in 4 different colors. I am basically wholesaling this product for stores though I may want to give the option to buy a single unit at a higher price. If indeed oscommerce is good for setting up the sale of one product, how should I go about doing so? Are there other any sites set up already that have similar needs so i can get an idea of what to do? thanks for any help you can give me.

With osc you can simply set up a store that sells on item with four options like colours. No problem. But selling one item at a higher price ain't a standard feature of osc. Dunno though if there's already a mod for this, but I think it should. Maybe someone else could answer this question. To get that right, you're talking about selling one item for e.g. $100, five items for $90 each, twenty for $80 each. Right?

The more units sold the cheaper per unit I would want to sell it for. I guess I'll start with the basics and when I come to the point where I decide to add that feature I'll ask about it on the forum. Thanks for your help.
