charliepage
I've been contracted to build a OsCom site. It deals with various products. They want it so that there are basicly 3 differnt stores, but one back end. I am wondering if there is a way to do this. Specificly, the customer clicks on male, and it shows only shavers, foot powder and basketballs, where female it shows feminine hygen products, hair spray, and shoes. The admin would ideally go to one back end and fill the inventory like it was one store. We specificly want to avoid showing male products at all on the famale page and vice versa. Mainly due to advertising stratagies. In otherwords they act like seperate stores to the customer but not the admin. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ozEworks
If you want to be able to control which categories are shown on which site then you need to modify Admin to flag which site(s) the category is for. You then also have to change the site code to only display categories belonging to that site. There is no contribution that will do this. It needs to be custom code but it is not too hard. With native MS2.2 there should not be any flow on effect.
