frogmann Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Hello All. I am new to OSCommerce, and am picking up a site where my predecessor left off. Unfortunately, the only way to login to the admin panel is to use the password(s) that is saved in Opera. Does anyone know if/where I can locate this password info in the code? I would like to use the admin in other browsers, and also want to make sure that I have it in case of emergency (like if it gets erased from Opera). Many thanks ahead of time to any who might be able to help.
juniorprg Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 if your admin login is [email protected] , the password that comes with it by default is admin l8ter
frogmann Posted February 27, 2007 Author Posted February 27, 2007 Thanks, but it has been changed from the default login by the person in my position before me, and it was not recorded anywhere else. I see that there is a program to retrieve passwords from Opera, but I'd like not to have ask my company to pay for it just to retrieve the OSC admin password. Again, any suggestions will be very helpful.

Open it up and find out where the htpasswd file is being kept. download the htpasswd file and add in your own login credentials using a program like this : http://home.flash.net/cgi-bin/pw.pl Re-upload the htpasswd file back into the correct directory Hit http://domain.com/catalog/admin/ and enter your new creds. Voila! Corrie
