lordofcb
I installed the new IPN. I have followed all the instructions, and read all the related messages I could find in this thread and followed all suggestions yet still can not make any progress. I set up my business class testuser on the paypal sandbox site, and whenever I try to execute the ipn payment from checkout, I click confirm, it goes to the sandbox site and displays a correct screen of information containing the charge to be made etc and as soon as I enter the password to log that test user in, I get this 3005 error and am stuck there. Any further suggestions on what may be causing this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Jack_mcs
The sandbox has to be set up just right or it won't work. The problem is usually due to the email adress not being verified. But unless you are a developer, there is not much reason to use it that I can see. Set it to live and have someone to a transaction. It should work as long as you have your paypal account setup. Then minimize that window, and open another window to perform my testing. Otherwise I could not get anywhere. Also, you might try logging into paypal using the user name and password and see if you get in, or just click on 'Launch Sandbox' in the sandbox and try the name and password from there.. If not, you may be using the wrong info. Also, you need to create two accounts,, one for the seller and one for the buyer. The sellers email address is used in the Admin panel PayPal IPN config first email box, and then you register a customer in the store and use the buyers email and user name to log into paypal. Thanks for both of the replies, as for the second, yes everything on the sandbox works ok as far as being able to launch and sign on on the test user. It is only from the store when it opens new window with login info that it fails. I may try to set it live and try a test transaction with my other real paypal account.
