kwaltman Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I am new to osCommere so please ignore my ignorance. I am very well versed in PHP and HTML so I can usually figure things out on my own, but before I start tearing into things I thought I would ask a couple of questions. I am building a website for a customer that sells everything wholesale. They want to have an online catalog of all the various products they carry. Ok so that is easily done with osCommerce right out of the box. But because of the nature of their business prices change several times a day, and they have elected not to process payments online at his time (maybe in the future). So what they want is to be able to show all their products online, but with no pricing information, and allow people to put everything they want into a cart, and then submit that cart for a quote. The company will then check the currently pricing and apply what ever wholesale discount the customer may get and then email or phone the customer back with a price and take care of the payment over the phone. The other reason they do this is alot of their customers will charge things to an in-house account, and the company bills them later. If this possible? If so can anyone point me towards an example or two. Thanks, I really appreciate it. -Kev
taknog51 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Hi Kev, you can completely remove all payment options through the administration panel and then simply go to catalog/includes/languages/english/checkout_payment.php and edit the text in the Payment method box to read whatever you want - I can only really help with that, for the rest of it they should really be able to sort it out by phone!!
