Premium level forum?

Does there exist a premium level forum?

I am a newbie and frusterated by my lack of progress setting up my store. I am not complaining about this forum. I realize that this is a free forum and you get what you pay for.

I know that I could get someone to set things up for me, but I believe in "teaching a man to fish". I would always have to rely on that person to do every small mod that came along. Not looking to be a PHP, SQL expert, just enough to get by.

I want to do this myself, but I'm stuck. Where else can I turn for help besides this forum?

Here is one place

http://www.oscommerce.info/

also there are plenty of books.

Yeah, that's the Knowledge Base. I have the link to that, and Amazon's OSC books in my Sig line. Also have a beginner's OSC book on the way.

What I was hoping for is some place I could go to get answers to specific questions.

And this is not happening in this forum ?

Yes, it is not. But I'm not wanting to trash the forum. Just trying to find out if a premium, or pay site might exist for help.

I'm surpised.

Maybe you're not formulating the question clearly/concisely ? I dunno.

But it's rare a post will slip by without being answered in my experience.

OK, do me a favor and let me know if you would consider this message unclear or inconcise. I'm banging my head against something, thats for sure.

Thats the 'Issue of the Moment' with me and I posted that one a few days ago after your advice. I've posted that question to other threads before that one, and to a different forum afterward (posting to the General forum got me a response with instructions to set up a local server). All are slipping by without being answered ('cept for the sever thing... well... responded to anyway...)

I'm dead in the water for several weeks now and REALLY need to get this working.

I agree - your post is concise.

So - have you been able to successfully install each contrib - so are they working within your shop ?

Is the bundled products working ?

Is the Master products working ?

Your post is clear - but I've not a clue what you want to do - since I have no expereince in either of these contribs.

So - instead of just saying "you want them to work together" - outline specifically what you want to accomplish - forgetting about the contribs.

Then explain to me *what* features from each contrib you expect to "work together".

I think the problem is that there are not that many people using those two contributions together. If you would have asked how to get either working, you would most likely have gotten an answer. But the odds of getting an answer on something as specific and unique as your problem are a lot lower. Not all questions can be answered on the forums since they take too much effort for the people that might know the answer. Even if there were and advanced forum, I doubt that you would get an answer since it can only be answered by those with first-hand experience with both of those modules in one shop. Your only solutions to get it answered in such a situation is to work through the code to figure it out yourself or pay someone to install them for you.
