breitling Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Hi All, Just about to install OSCommerce for the first time - could somebody advise me - I'm only going to accept PayPal and Cheques (no Debit or Credit Cards at this stage but may want to 6 - 12 months down the line) - do I need to have an SSL Certificate - do I need to go through the Secure Server part of the installation - can I do this later? bill110 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 If you are going to require account setup and collect any personal info like address phone # etc then you should have one. customers want to see that their info is protected. Even if you do not collect this, not having SSL may discourage some shoppers. Ultimately it's your choice.
