I don't know how to change what new, get rid of the old items that came with the install and I accidentally got rid of all the reviews (now there is no way to post a review.) Does anyone know how to fix these?
GT420HP Posted October 16, 2002 Posted October 16, 2002 I have a fix for the reviews. Just write a review for one of your products using a "logged in" user account. The reason you get the broken image box is because you have no reviews to display. As for the "Whats new" problem. I have the same problem and I am still looking for a fix to that. I am going to go into Mysql and see if I can manually add in a record on the table. Hope this helps
dccv Posted October 16, 2002 Author Posted October 16, 2002 I 'll tell you what. I just did an install for 2.2 and it's a lot better!!!!! The what's new problem is fixed if you just delete everything but one category, one product etc. in the mysql file. I am running off of phpmyadmin so hopefully this will help others like myself that don't know what the heck these other programmer guys are talking about. First of all when you get into phpmyadmin click on the name of the catalog, then click on 'products' section on the left window and do the same (i.e. browse-> delete all but one category for saftey) Hopefully this will help someone out there :D
unistar Posted August 9, 2003 Posted August 9, 2003 I guess I also ran into trouble with REVIEWS once I deleted all of them. Now I CAN'T add one through the page. Since I'm a newbie can't figure it out. Can someone show me how to force a review? Thanks!
