lisa65 Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 My hosting service wants to block emails sent from osCommerce cart sent from [email protected]. The reason is because of spam sent from the server from [email protected] at several different domain names. Is there a way I can change nobody to something else? Thanks, Lisa

lisa65 Posted February 24, 2007 Author Posted February 24, 2007 I really need help with this. The intention of the hosting service is to block all emails email from nobody@server/domain.com and I really need a solution. What this means is that none of my customers will receive confirmation emails from my store. Thanks, Lisa
lisa65 Posted February 24, 2007 Author Posted February 24, 2007 In your admin panel :Configuration --> My Store --> Email From Corrina I have the From field set but it sends through as [email protected] as a default I guess. I don't think that has anything to do with the emailer. Thanks, Lisa

No just the ones from nobody@ and I guess osC uses that. All I need is a way to change nobody to something else.

lisa65 Posted February 24, 2007 Author Posted February 24, 2007 Can anyone tell me how email is sent from the cart? I would like to edit files if possible.
lisa65 Posted February 25, 2007 Author Posted February 25, 2007 Just bringing this back up to the top. Thanks in advance for your help. Lisa
jasonabc Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 You have to set two values in Admin. Configuration > Email Address - set to [email protected] Configuration > Email From - set to: Your Name <[email protected]> If those two values are set in admin and your store is still sending emails from [email protected] then there is a problem/error elsewhere. Yes, I have those values set and when the server blocks nobody as the sender none of the emails to customers go out. I am testing a possible fix I finally found in the forums. It's located at... http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?sho...mp;#entry946718 Thanks for the help. Lisa
