Order_Totals Not Getting Inserted

I have two identical installations of osCommerce milestone 2.2 running (same store owner, just two different domains and the header and footer graphics are different.)

 

For some reason, when someone submits an order on one of the sites, the order totals table doesn't get any records inserted. This prevents the orders from showing in the list of orders on the admin page. The only way the order can viewed is by entering the order id directly. Also, the sales tax and shipping, etc. are not being set, so the my client has to calculate it manually in order to charge the proper amount to the customers credit card.

 

I have used WinMerger to do a diff on both entire sites and there are no differeneces in any of the files (other than the respective configuration and header and footer pages). There are no differences in any of the check files, the classes or modules. And the configuration settings in the admin are identical.

 

Any help would be much appreciated!

I assume your sites use separate databases. In that case check the configuration files. Make sure they do specify the correct database names.

Enable the COD payment module and place an order using it. Check the order totals table using phpmyadmin. If it works you may need to check the payment module code in case that it overrides the checkout_process.php.

Okay, we are getting somewhere now. I did what you suggested and installed the COD module and all the order details are coming through successfully now. My credit card module code is as follows:

The really strange part is that this exact same code works fine on another mirror site that simply has a different domain and graphics.

I got things working now, but at a cost. I uninstalled the PayPal payment module (that was the only difference between my two sites.)

 

I am not sure what the problem is with having the PayPal module installed, but it was causing the problem. It's also strange since I have made no changes to any of the payment modules and they are exactly the same version as what you can download from osCommerce in milestone 2.2!

 

Maybe someone else has been through this and can shed some more light on the issue.

Hello. I've got the same problem. My orders_total table is empty, it's just doesn't populate with no information, therefor my orders wont show up in my backend. I've noticed somtething else. My modules in my admin wont show up. If i anter my modules in my Order Total module... i've got this path: `/var/www/html/www.multiservice-canon.ro/multiservice-canon/catalog/includes/modules/order_total/` and the install button. If i click on the install, nothing happens. I've read a few posts and the problem might be in my configure.php . This is my configure.php without my database settings:

Also, i have more problemes and i think that's because of the same thing. When a make an order, the order steps are fine, and as a customer i receive an e-mail. My order has the correct id, the correct name and price but the order's tax isn't showing. As a customer, when i login my account and click on orders history, it appears something like -40, -30, -20, -10, -0 pages, and no order. So please, i'm the only one with this problem? What should i do further?

Unistall the PayPal module. That will solve your problems for new orders.

 

To get the navigation links to work properly on the My Orders page, you will have to use a MySQL application that will allow you to delete the orders directly from the orders table that don't have the necessary orders_totals records.

 

OR, create the missing orders_totals records for tax and shipping and total if you want to keep the order alive.
