Moving Database to Dedicated Server

I am moving to a Dedicated Server mainly since my sites are out growing their Shared Servers.

 

I can pay the Host to move my osCommerce DB or what parts can I move Myself?

 

I realize that I can install osCommerce directly onto the new server because they offer it. BUT, all the products won't be there.

you just install oscommerce on their site if they have fantastico and then just upload database data via phpmyadmin...

Dont use fantastico, it is fine if your useing the standard model but as far as i am aware it can cause problems when adding Contabs. ect to it

 

if you have phpmyadmin on your old hosting then just do a DB dump and again if you have phpmyadmin on the new server then just create a new DB and add the DB dump to it if your new DB name and login are the same as the old one you need do nothing else if they differ you will need to edit the two configue files

Same host just more acreage and faster pipes. I'll do a test run between 2 of my sites.
