I installed osc without SSL. Then I changed the catalog and admin configure.php files as directed in the forums.

http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=151162

Now when a customer hits check out the next page https://mywebsite/checkout_shipping.php comes up as '404 page not found'

any help would be much appreciated.

thanks,

Leonard

Sorry. I should have mentioned. I do have a shared SSL certificate for the domain from my hosting company (hostmoster)

I was curious if you ever resolved this problem? I am experiencing the same issue but with a dedicated SSL (rapidSSL). Thanks.

Ok, my host was nice to fix this problem. It seems that the "catalog" was not included in this line: define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/catalog/')

Yes, I did get it resolved. It was a hosting issue. They had me on hold for ever and when they came back it was corrected. The person I was speaking with couldn't give my any info.
