This problem started in 2007. We didn't have this problems in 2006 and prior. The problem is the Authorize.net CC info collection areas are not shown in the payment method box. Ray

Thanks for thje info - but no there is no newer module than we are using. It is related to the customers address .... i.e. not in AZ - that is the thread to the problem - what they can't do is check out - because the screen to display the CC info isn't shown to them .... could it be a config problem ???? Ray Have you checked the module settings in the admin console? Make sure there's not a payment zone set for it, because that sounds like what's happening here... Sinze this is only showing for AZ customers, and AZ is obviously set as a tax zone, someone may have inadvertently set the payment zone on that module to AZ, meaning it will only show for those customers...
