How long does it take for my shop to be listed under live shops

Without a link to your store I can't say - but Live Shop entries have to meet certain criteria. One of them is the stock OSC footer text must be present. If you take it out it will not be inserted into the Live Stores section as a live OSC store.

How long does it take for my shop to be listed under live shops.. I have filled it out a few times over the last 7 weeks, thinking i made some mistake. Since i haven't seen it listed.

2 days ago you posted that it had been 4 weeks, and now you're saying 7... The people that moderate these forums and I'm pretty sure the people that handle the live shop entries are all volunteers, and with 10's of 1000's of oscommerce stores out there, yours is probably just still in line... I wouldn't focus so much on getting listed in the live shops section as I would on getting indexed and listed in some of the various web directories out there, because more than likely, your listing in the live shops section isn't even going to pass you any pagerank at all as far as google is concerned, and people that come here to look through that section are most likely looking for examples of what an oscommerce store can do, or for design ideas, rather than shopping... They go to the major web directories or search engines for those types of searches... And as for your statement in your original post:

after 4 weeks, and 3 other tries to get it live

A listing in the live shops directory has absolutely no impact on whether your shop is actually live or not, you don't need to be listed there to be considered "live", you only need to start taking orders...

If I am wrong please correct me. But as far as I am aware, the live shop listing doesnt require the 'stock osc footer', ie., 'Powered By osCommerce' & the osc logo. My understanding is, provided your store 'theme' is different from that of the stock osc (which is copyright by osc), then that could be removed. And if you take a look at many, if not all, of the shops listed in the live shop section, they dont carry the osc footer at all.

It is the My Store section that states clearly that the 'Powered By osCommerce' must be present or it will be removed.

btw, I submitted one shop a few months ago and I now dont know where it is! :)

No 7 was a typo .. like you nevered typo-ed?

And yes i did all of the dir and or search engines

I am sure all who help out here are busy, like we all are busy with things, all i was doing was asking in hopes of some reasonable answer, not a smart one..

Did i ever do something to you? cause i sure dont think so.

After working hard on something, a normal person will follow up on things, and YES i would love to see my shop listed in the live shops section.. Its only natural

and yes i do have powered by OSC of course otherwise my posts would be deleted due to thats in the rules here!!!!!!!!

I noticed that alot on the live shops don't carry the osc foot. But i was told if it isn't there it wont be carried there, so who knows. The only support here are from vol, otherwise there isn't any.

But i will keep mine in there.

thanks Ken

take care
