Session issue

So I got the database access problems worked out, and the message for the /tmp folder went away. Right now the site functions as it is supposed to, with the exception that I cannot login, or add anything to my cart. I am guessing that this means I have an issue with the sessions, but not sure what else to look at. If I try to set the sessions to go to mysql, instead of to a file, then I can't click any of the links on the main page.

 

Anyone experience anything like this, or have any suggestions? Thanks
