Shutdown007 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Can someone please help me...... I just finished a pretty basic website for a friend and I need to some how integrate "add to cart", " view cart", and a pull down list of items customers can choose to order. This is the first time using osCommerce and I think just by looking at it it seems pretty straight forward. I am having trouble integrating it with my existing site. Is osCommerce only the engine behind the database? and how do I add pull downs and buttons to my Order Page to get to link to Authorize.net I apologize if this seems confusing..... My current site is at: http://www.sweetappreciations.biz Please Help !!!!! I only have set up one cart besides this and it was through Paypal which was extremely easy...... Thanks Patrick

What's with the massive image!? http://www.sweetappreciations.biz/images/S...preciations.jpg If you want to use OSC, then I highly recommend going the other way around - install OSC, *then* design your site. I suggest using the Simple Template System to integrate osCommerce into your existing site. It allows you to use any HTML template to bring in the features of osCommerce. I have done this for many clients and it can be done easily. As David suggested above, here is the link for the STSv4.4 download: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1524 Have fun, Bill Kellum Bill Kellum Sounds Good Productions STS Tutorials & more: STSv4.6, STS Add-ons (STS Power Pack), STS V4 Forum STS Forum FREE TEMPLATE
Shutdown007 Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 Bill, You have been a huge help. I will download STS4.4 and work on it tonight. Can I email you if I run into any problems? This is what I was hoping for. I just wanted to be able to create websites first then implement osCommerce into them. I just want to thank everyone for all there help..... P.S. The database install went very well and completed with no errors. The only things left I need to do is get an SSL certificate with my current web hosting company.
