mikael22
Downloaded the backup to my computer, yes it SQL, and under Tools> Restore> navigated to the file and uploaded it>>>> waiting, waiting>>>> Went to the store and nope it's not there - Well crap. Tried the same steps with an older backup version, with NO success. If someone could point out what I'm doing wrong it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you. Guest
Try using PHPMyAdmin, see if it works that way. If you don't need to restore it then don't. Via your sites control panel you should be able to create a whole site backup including the Data Base.
radders
On many servers the restore process times out. Mine used time out after 30 seconds which is nowhere near enough to restore the entire database of a shop that has been running a while. This seemed to have been fixed in mysql 5 though. There is a new function to allow the restore to be performed over time. There is a workaround for older versions of mysql though. Google for 'bigdump.php' hth David
