How can I change State to abbr. on invoice?

I am looking for a way to show the State in the address on the invoice or packing slip as a 2 character abbreviation instead of the full name, like CA instead of California. The address shown in the e-mail sent to the customer shows the abbreviated State, but the invoice does not.

 

Any suggestions?

You could use the zone table and do a look up for the full name of the state to substitute it.

(after backing up ofcourse), and it works great.
