Avium Posted October 12, 2002 Posted October 12, 2002 Just like what the subject titles says - is there a way to prevent checkout when a customer tries to purchase more than the qty available? This is getting to be quite a headache for me :(
Ajeh Posted October 12, 2002 Posted October 12, 2002 In the Admin of v2.2 is a setting for Allow Checkout on insufficient stock, under Configuration ... Stock
DailyLunatic Posted October 14, 2002 Posted October 14, 2002 Is that item specific or system wide? For instance can you set the override for one item and not for another? Sterling (a.k.a. Ian Posted October 14, 2002 Posted October 14, 2002 No, It's a global setting, and not set per product. Trust me, I'm an Accountant.
DailyLunatic Posted October 15, 2002 Posted October 15, 2002 How would you best handle a situation like that then? I have some items I carry as stock, some that are produced upon request, and others that are not ordered until sold. I suppose I could lie to the system and put qty in non-stocked items, but is that the best solution? Thanks Sterling 92.5% Pure Sterling (a.k.a. DailyLunatic) Useful Threads: Basics for Design.
