Web Installation Doesnt work

I have installed osCommerce a million times and this is the only time i have had problems with it. I have given the correct permissions to the correct files and folders

 

When i go to mysite.com/install/ it asks me if i want to "Install" or "Upgrade" i click the install the next screen asks if i want to import catelog and whether or not i want automatic configuration, i check both and click continue, but it doesnt go anywhere. it stays on that page and does not go any further, when u click on it the first time it does however change the url from http://www.mysite.net/install/install.php to http://www.mysite.net/install/install.php?step=2

 

i am pretty sure i have meet the requirements. i have

 

mysql 4.1.14-1.FC4.1

 

php 5.0.4-10.5.1.swsoft

 

I would prefer to do the installation via web browser but if you dont have the answer can someone point out the step by step to installing manually through configure.php. Thank you

Let me answer my own question and also mention that the "Search" feature to this site works great :blush:
