dahechler
Since I'm a newbie to this software, what difference does the host have to do with the problem ? Furthermore, I think there was only one user that was trying to access the catalog and/or purchase an item ? Duaine

The software, osCommerce, is not responsible for this but the settings as defined for mysql are. If you have access to those settings you should raise the max. allowed connections or otherwise have to ask your hosting company to do that. If they do not want to, or only if you take a more expensive account, the choice is to pay more or to move away.
