I even have a couple of orders already lol. I was wondering if you could take a look at it and give me some general feedback on it, suggestions to improve it and overall comments. el_diavolo
Hola tia Hello First and last.. way to much errors to even start a topic. ( my opinion) :-" Consider in usig a development server in your computer - in this way you can edit the site localy and when it's finished you can upload it. I personaly use XAMPP - server side suite. MySQL, PHP, also phpmyadmin. In the end: consider in changing the background color, consider in a wider header logo, and also the color of the site logo... I will stop now..you have a lot of work to do... Very soon you will start to have a lot of messages :D from the comunity. Step by step o poco a poco bye bye My osCommerce site is in my profile. My tools will have to be: Photoshop, Flash, Dreamwaver, WS_FTP, XAMPP... Using the best to create the best! My contributions: Site Preload, others coming soon..
chooch
I think the site looks unprofessional and needs alot of work on it. The colours do not compliment each other and the font text/colour on the buttons look really bad. I also think having a background image (or images) are not a good idea for product info pages unless the images are on a transparent background as it will avoid showing a square with a colour outside the image over-imposing the background. Here is an example of what I mean: here Not only does you header badly obscure the background image, you infoboxes simply cut them out and it does look bad. I have seen som sites that do exactly the same as yours when it comes to infoboxes and background images but they pulled it off because their infoboxes were better colour contrasted than yours. You may well be giving yourself a deserved pat on the back for completing your site - but I think it needs work done on it. Anyhow, good luck to you. Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back! Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you? There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere. CHOOCH
