PHP.exe error Help

Hi

I have just installed PHPtriad and on my new laptop and successfully transfered my site from my old machine. When I call up my home page or admin the page displays but then I get the following error window:

 

php.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

 

Please tell microsoft about this problem etc etc.

 

My feeling is that this could be any number of things.

 

Has anyone any idea what it may be?

PS Could not get xampp to work so resorted to triad. If there is a step by step guide to getting xampp to work I would also be grateful

The Windows installers that come with Apache, PHP and MySQL these days make very light work of installing these manually - which is the best way to do it. This is also an excellent tutorial here:

I was under the impression that you had to use PHP 4 for OSC?

The latest release of OSC (MS2.2 Update 060817) is fully compatible with PHP 5. To get earlier versions working requires a couple of very quick/minor tweeks which can be found here:
