(my server is in the USA, while i am in the UK, been meaning to transfer to the UK for a while) 2) My site is slow the admin is fast ! but the public pages are slow ! http://shop.kb-online.co.uk, cheers 3) I have shipping status contribution (shippingstatus3.3.1) the orders page when updating the order (marking send) the carrier drop-down box is empty logged on to mysql php admin, and the carriers table has a few entries. that's it thanks for all the help you give, and think your fantastic for helping others in there hour of need for free as well, well that's just fantastic thanks you again :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
modulate Posted February 19, 2007 Share Posted February 19, 2007 Josh, your site doesnt seem slow to me, have you any third party scripts running in your index? you might also want to think about a thumb contribution, as your images loading could be an issue. Yeah the only thing that loaded slowly for me were the images in the product_listing, which can be fixed with a thumbnail contribution... As for changing the time, you could always change the date functions to use the gmdate and gmmktime functions to fetch the GMT value for date and time... That way no matter where you are in the world, the time would always be consistent... And with some tricky work in the admin and catalog, you could set timezones for admin users and customers and convert the GMT value into their local times... Richard.
