Colin Harpley
Hi all I appreciate that this may be the wrong place to ask but These forums have been a God send to me, and I have now almost got a working system of OSC after ditching creloaded. As I am in the UK, I would like to know the procedure for making an official complaint about a company in the USA. I have Logged / Filed and official complaint about ‘chain reaction works’ with the ‘federal trade commission’ today for failing to provide creloaded software as stated. (ie it incorrectly calculates tax and doesn’t provided coupon functionality as stated) However I note that they just log the calls and do not get involved. I have asked ‘chain reaction’ {logged on my ticket} for there dispute procedure but as of todate I have not received one. It now six months since I purchased, and was told after purchase that this was a known bug. And have been told the next release it would be fixed several times, and it hasn’t What is my next course of action, Here in the UK we have a trading standards authority, which looks into complaints and takes intermediary action. Is there such a body in the USA I can contact?. Colin
Jack_mcs
If you are using the paid version and paid with a credit card, then you can file a dispute with them. If you are using a free version, there is nothing to dispute since it is free and you are using it "as is." But I wonder what you are looking to get out of this? The dispute can take months. If the problem is preventing your shop from running, I wouldn't want to wait that long and to have to go through the aggravation. I suggest either paying someone to fix it or move to a package that works.
