I have a question

I have had a site for 2 years my site can be found on the search engines, I have usual clients, and so on…

But the name is too bad, for example www.xtt566yuflowerxyz.com (I know, yes was a silly error) as you see this domain will be difficult to reach a top of mind; I wonder if I can change the name to, for example, www.youflower.com. This name has some edges like: easy to remember, more commercial name, marketing advantages etc.

How can I do that? What is the best strategy to do it?

I don’t want to hurt: my search engine rankings, SEO work, addition to favorites, my usual costumers etc.

Thanks for your help

I think you need to set up "domain forwarding" with the company that registered your domain, and have them forward all traffic from old domain to the new one.

301? The old 301 debate - friendly or not! I would use it, and have, without problems.

Redirect in PHP
<?
Header( "HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently" );
Header( "Location: http://www.new-url.com" );
?>
