Easy Populate doesn't populate

Hello,

I've been trying to populate my DB with data from an Excel file, but without success.

I'm using v2.76d, have added a unique number to all existing product_model fields,

adjusted the $modelsize value to the length of my product_model field,

then exported an empty fieldset with the following fields (so that existing data remains as untouched as possible)

"v_products_model","v_products_name_2","v_products_description_2","v_products_image","v_products_price","v_manufacturers_name","v_categories_name_1","v_categories_name_2","v_categories_name_3","v_tax_class_title",EOREOR

and filled it with the data of the excel file (and of course added unique product_model numbers again),

exported it with OpenOffice Calc, but NO data was added at all.

I also played with TAB as a field separator, $excel_safe_output etc.

ANY idea what could help to solve my problem?

thanks!!!

I don'T know what you mean, I don't use any templates (other than the default).

EasyPopulate just doesn't work.

For anyone who's interested: last night I managed to fix the "Excel Import/Export" contribution so that at least import works - I've uploaded an updated package: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,485

Now at least adding / stuffing with this contrib works for me. Any insights about how to get EP run would still be appreciated as it at least promises to be able to update the product database, too, not just add.

kind regards

r.

I'm sorry. I read tempfile and template somehow. But I'm confused with what your problem is now. You say it works for you but then ask how to get it to work? Perhaps a specific question would work better?
