OSC is probably going to be way too much for you. Take a look at Paypal as they give snippets of code to add 'buy now' buttons, but you'll need some html knowledge to implement them. You won't get much simpler if you wish to retain your site set up.

BTW Help yourself please with a more descriptive title to your question, this would be better for all. A lot of people won't investigate your plea with such a global question.

Hello Seffi, the above post was a little harsh but probably correct. :-

Since you do not know a lot about HTML or PHP, you could still use osCommerce but you will need a template system to allow you to add things here and there without having to deal a lot with the underlying code.

I suggest using STS4.4 which would allow you to keep your current design but also open up avenues for you that you would otherwise be impossible without hacking the PHP code. In STS, tags are created to represent things such as the "add to cart" button, etc.

You can download it here:

Be sure to post any questions in the STS4 forum.

Have fun,

Hi,

My reply was in no way meant to be harsh, sorry.

It's one thing using a WYSIWYG editor on a HTML site which you have already set up. It's a whole new ball game trying to change make changes in OSC, let alone change the look and design of it.

With paypal, you can get 'buy now button' makers to intergrate in to the more popular WYSIWYG editors. Thus making it so easy to set up stores of your own design.

How many products are you intending to sell? If its loads (I changed over at about 1,000), then perhaps an off the shelf OSC ready set-up is the way to go. There's loads of places you can obtain this option from. Then after using it for a while, and when your comfortable with it and how it works, you can then start making changes yourself. After going live, its probably best to set up a mirror store to experiment with, thus not damaging your live store with any mistakes.

Hope the above if of help :)
