Hi guy's

2 problems again this morning

1- When i open the admin side of the store i get this message at the top of the page " Error: Catalog images directory is not writeable: /home/charme/public_html/shop/images/ "

2- When i try to enter products in the data base and click insert ...i get this message " 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax near ' '1', '', now())' at line 1

insert into products (products_quantity, products_model, products_image, products_price, products_date_available, products_weight, products_status, products_tax_class_id, manufacturers_id, products_date_added) values ('', '', '', '49.99', null, '', , '1', '', now())

[TEP STOP]

Rather self-explanatory, isn't it? The images directory is not writable by the PHP-process, so you wont be able to upload images using osCommerce. Change the permissions on the images directory to 777 and try again. Has been answered many times in this forum. Please start using the search function before you post ;-)

Take a close look here:

('', '', '', '49.99', null, '', , '1', '', now())

There is a value missing. Count the arguments to find out that the field products_tax_class_id is empty.

Which leads us to the following:

You didn't specify a tax class when adding the product. This must be done.

Maybe we should add an error check here.

I think it is the product status that has not been entered. Make sure you click one of the check boxes at the top of the screen for in stock / out of stock.

As Jan pointed out this has been asked a few hundred times before :)

Carefully check your tax settings. Are all necessary entries there? Tax Zone, Tax Class, Tax Rate? Did you edit them?
