Guest Posted October 11, 2002 Posted October 11, 2002 I recently downloaded Snapshot 2.2 and tried to install it. I didn't realize that there was an install script so I jumped right in with the manual install. I have successful moved the files (to the best of my knowledge it was done correctly) and setup the database. When I went to configure catalog and admin I discovered that the documentation was missing. I have since learned that the documentation was not missing, it just hasn't been completed yet. After reading through several post I learned there was an install script. However I could not get it to work. I keep getting a not found error when I'm 99% sure the path is correct. If anyone could provide insight for configuring the catalog and admin I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance, Jason
Trusten Posted October 11, 2002 Posted October 11, 2002 why not simply do it all again. just upload the files again, then go to http://www.yourdomain.com/catalog/install/ and install it from there?
Guest Posted October 11, 2002 Posted October 11, 2002 I uploaded the files again but I can't get the install script to run. I keep getting a 404 error. I'm using the link http://domain.com/catalog/install/. I seem to have the correct path though. Can anyone help?
Guest Posted October 11, 2002 Posted October 11, 2002 don't even get a dir listing under /catalog is this on virtual domain?
Trusten Posted October 11, 2002 Posted October 11, 2002 it's there, something you are doing is wrong somehow. try this, try http://www.thedomain.com/catalog/catalog/install/ or go into your folder through ftp, FIND the folder, confirm that it is there, then simply select it, right click, and ask it to copy the url path. fini. *smile*
Guest Posted October 12, 2002 Posted October 12, 2002 Yes this a virtual domain. I have gone in through ftp and confirmed that the files are there. It seems to be a rights issue.
Guest Posted October 13, 2002 Posted October 13, 2002 contact you ISP and confirm the path to your root dir
