Mike_t
Hi, We run a professional coaching business. The majority of our sales are services or eproducts. Has anyone used osCommerce for mainly non-product sales? And if so, can anyone point me at a few example sites so that I can take a look? We've already got a reasonably sized website and are using 1shoppingcart to process our payments, so I'm really looking for something that I can tack on behind the scenes to replace 1shoppingcart and allow people to purchase our services. A lot of the osCommerce sites I've been able to see appear to be wholly based around the product selling format. Our site is 95% information with a few sales pages and hyperlinks to take the customer to the shopping cart. Effectively I'm looking for the same from osCommerce if that's possible. Many thanks Mike
Guest
you can treat product as services. And use the same database tables basically. There are contributions available like attributes option type features for instance that will allow customers to enter their preferences. Or you could add your own custom forms. And so if you treat products as services the same payment gateways will simply work with no extra effort.
Mike_t
Thanks Mark. I've clearly got a lot to learn  But, at least I know it's possible now. Thanks again.
