croslin Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 (edited) Hi Folks, I'm new to oscommerce but have managed to wade my way through most of the problems I've had except UPS XML. I have the latest version of Osc and the latest version of UPS XML installed. UPS XML is giving me a few problems, so perhaps someone can help. 1)Changes made in admin are not saved. 2)When installed the website shows a: 10002: The XML document is well formed but the document is not valid error. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I spent days on this, read everything I can find and I think followed the install directions. I only want weights not packages so I stopped editing at Step 5.? Thanks! Bob Edited February 15, 2007 by croslin Quote
Jan Zonjee Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 1)Changes made in admin are not saved. Another post with a fix :)2)When installed the website shows a: 10002: The XML document is well formed but the document is not valid error. When you fix the first thing and save all the data, this will probably go away too. If not enable logging (see the beginning of the shipping/upsxml.php file) and check is anything is missing in the request to UPS. Quote

Now works like a champ at saving the input!! Quote
ruma Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 (edited) I have installed UPSXML in my oscommerce shop shipping from UK. But I am getting an error "The XML document is well formed but the document is not valid" . I dont have Rate Access key, username and pasword (I have requested for it). Is this error coming due to this reason? If no, what could be the problem . And I am getting this response from UPS. <?xml version="1.0"?> <RatingServiceSelectionResponse><Response><TransactionReference><CustomerContext>Rating and Service</CustomerContext><XpciVersion>1.0001</XpciVersion></TransactionReference><ResponseStatusCode>0</ResponseStatusCode><ResponseStatusDescription>Failure</ResponseStatusDescription><Error><ErrorSeverity>Hard</ErrorSeverity><ErrorCode>10002</ErrorCode><ErrorDescription>The XML document is well formed but the document is not valid</ErrorDescription><ErrorLocation><ErrorLocationElementName>AccessRequest/AccessLicenseNumber</ErrorLocationElementName></ErrorLocation></Error></Response></RatingServiceSelectionResponse> I am attaching my settings. Is this error coming due to this reason? I don't recall what error message you get without having all the UPS information they ask for entered but I don't expect UPS to return any quotes if you didn't. So it's pointless to try to troubleshoot this before you have all the data. Quote
kelleyfoods Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Is there any way to use UPS XML and restrict certain shipping options based on zones? We are shipping food items and don't want someone in California to choose ground as it is a 5 day ship. We would like Alabama and Georgia customers to be able to choose ground as it is a 1 day ship. Any ideas? Quote
♥Chris Perkins Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Hopefully someone will see this. I've just installed UPS XML. Everything seemed ok at first. I installed it in the admin/modules/shipping area, entered UPS username etc etc. However, when I attempt a test purchase it goes horribly wrong! I added things to cart and then when I click on checkout I get an HTTP 500 error on the checkout_shipping.php page. I've double checked everything that people seem to usually do when HTTP 500 errors are presented (i.e. file/folder permissions and making sure the php files are uploaded in the proper mode) and I can't seem to fix it. Has anyone else had this issue upon install of UPS XML? Thanks. Quote
