netfrugal
This may be a topic for another forum, but I thought I'd also ask here. I can charge a cc via OSC admin, with a contribution that enables manual order entry. No big surprise there. But, is it possible to issue refunds to a cc via the same interface? I imagine that it has not been considered since I see no contribution for it, but I had to ask. thanks! marc
yosc
I'd be curious to find an answer as well - right now I'm doing it manually through the terminal. There's a contribution that allows to do order modifications, but I haven't tried it and don't know if it'll allow to remove items from the order while crediting back the card. Also, I'm not sure if the credit card numbers are kept in the database at all - from the posts I've seen, it seems like no card details are stored in the system, and thus it would be impossible to issue a refund. netfrugal
I believe you can choose to save the cc numbers in the db. I know I'm doing that now, which I only do with SSL enabled. I am positive that issuing a refund to a credit card is possible via the admin, since many other CRMs and CMSs are doing it too. I am looking into how Authorize.net explains their AIM, just to see if they have any insight to refunding card numbers via PHP. Do you know where that contribution is? - that allows order modifications?
