Email Verification Error

When a new customer signs up they get this message

 

Your E-Mail Address does not appear to be valid - please make any necessary corrections.

 

i have disabled check DNS in admin but still not working can someone please help due to this i cannot send out emails from admin panel.

 

does anyone have any idea??

do you have a file called tld.txt in your store folder - If not there should be one in your admin copy and paste it from there

thanks fella that worked do i also need spider.txt file too? its working without it at them moment.

 

I have anoter small problem if ou can help, i have set the config.php file to non writeable but when i upload it, its set to writeable. how can i resolve this, any idea??

Use FTP and set the file attributes directly on the server. If u set locally and then upload, the file attributes are being reset to the same values on the server copy.

I have tried this but it says some rubbish about windows server users cannot change permission levels etc... i didnt have this problem before! help!!! im hosting with streamline.
