How do I offer free shipping to messed up orders?

Hello-

 

THis is my first post here and we JUST got our site up and kinda running. We received an order and it will take some time to get the item since it has to be sent from Germany. I would like to offer our customer free shipping since he has had to wait so long while we got ourselves together. I don't want to ffer everyone free shipping, just when we make a mistake. I went to the invoice and don't see anyway to edit it really.

 

Anyone have any hints?
