Warning messages after installation

I have installed OS commerce succesfully (almost) - its just I get these three messages after install

Not quite sure what to do, I thought that I did everything right- any ideas from someone more knowledgeable would be appreciated.

I see you've had (till now) about 20 views and no answers.

Yes, I've never seen those errors in a new installation either :)

 

However, I've just done a Google search on 'osCommerce "safe mode"' and I found this:

SAFE MODE Restriction in effect

 

contact your hosting company.As this is php Linux(operating system) environment issue.Plus this is controlled by hosting company.

And ask them to remove this safe mode restriction.

Thanks alot, I have contacted my hosting company to see if they will remove it, I'll post back once they reply.

Thanks to you guys and my hosting company all of my osc site is free from warnings UNTIL I get to the admin page, which has the following warnings

When I click through the Configuration or Catalog or any of the links it goes blank ie

 

Not Found

The requested URL was not found on this server.

 

Apache Server at unique-boutique.co.uk

 

I feel so close and yet so FAR!

 

Any ideas people?
