When clicking on account.php and am presented with this error message:

 

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /usr/local/home/httpd/vhtdocs/mywebsite.com/catalog/includes/languages/english.php:1) in /usr/local/home/httpd/vhtdocs/mywebsite.com/catalog/includes/functions/general.php on line 33

 

I've deleted the carriage return after the end of ?> but still am getting the error

i dont know if this might help - but i got the same error when i tried to checkout - my site is hosted on a windows server.

 

now in the admin area, under My Store, configuration, you have your store email & send extra email values as follows: Name <[email protected]>

 

windows doesnt like that format.... i changed those values to only [email protected] - and now have no problems anymore.

 

if your site is hosted on a windows server, give this a try - might help.

i dont know if this might help - but i got the same error when i tried to checkout - my site is hosted on a windows server.

 

now in the admin area, under My Store, configuration, you have your store email & send extra email values as follows: Name <[email protected]>

 

windows doesnt like that format.... i changed those values to only [email protected] - and now have no problems anymore.

 

if your site is hosted on a windows server, give this a try - might help.

I'm on linux hosting i think, apache. I tried that, unfortunatly it didn't work.

 

Its only account.php that seems to be having the problem.

The english.php as posted doesn't give an error in a default shop and the faulting line in general.php refers to the redirect function (in stock osC). Seeing your account.php it is not stock osCommerce or heavily modified by you ?! If you are using a 3th party template you should contact them otherwise give us a link to your shop to have a closer look.

i had similar problem, looked for white space, couldn't find any

am on windows hosting,

simple fix was to change the store email address and extra order email address ( in the admin configuration section) to:

 

eg.

[email protected]

 

instead of

 

my email <[email protected]>

 

this fixed the problem!

 

funnily enough on another oscommerce shop with the same windows host this problem does not arise even while using these < >

 

i think this is already answered in another post or if you tried, but it worked for me so just a confirmation really.
